Here is where we really start to work on improving your skills as a duelist. We go over a couple more of the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh! and break them down. From Spell Speeds to Chain Links (both of which are very important), to learning how to use the Side Deck, to understanding what is considered Public Knowledge and what isn’t. And we will, of course, go over how to build a stronger, more consistent deck.

Now if you just thought the Heart of the Cards was simply gonna carry you to victory, then you clearly do not understand how it actually works. The Heart of the Cards won’t work if you just throw in every card that you like and expect it to somehow work. You need to put some actual thought into building your deck. That’s what the Heart of the Cards asks of you in return. So ask yourself: are you willing to put in the effort and become the duelist the Heart of the Cards asks of you?

Lastly, we will talk about how to properly communicate with your opponent. Yu-Gi-Oh! is not a game of solitaire. The reason this game exists is to connect you to other people, as the creator of the game, Kazauki Takahashi, intended. It’s very important that your opponent understands what’s going on in the duel and vice versa. However, that does not mean we cannot use this to our advantage, in one way.
